Pumpkin Shenanigans

We were all excited to share some Halloween traditions with Ane this year. She says in Spain the undercelebrate holidays so we were eager to "Americanize" her a bit. So a couple of Saturdays before Halloween we headed out for some Fall fun. But before the holiday fun began, we had to prank a few people... just to get in the mood.

Chad had won a lot at the auction and in the lot were these huge movie posters that I was scratching my head what to do with... DI? Dumpster? Ah, let's doorbell ditch some people. Hard to do with all the blink doorbells these days! So Ane and Jae donned some ski masks! We had to let some of the victims neighbors in on it though when they happened to be out in their yard as we jumped out of the car in masks! Hilarious.

The girls each picked a pumpkin for carving. But we decided to wait until the Saturday before Halloween to carve them up cuz they turn to mush so fast in the Idaho cold!

After picking pumpkins we did some true "americanizing" by taking Ane to Texas Roadhouse. She loved her burger and was impressed by the free drink refills. We all filled up on rolls before our food came so we just looked at it as it arrived as if it was a mean joke. Does that ever not happen for anyone??

Pumpkin carving was a hoot. While I made dinner, everyone else sprawled out on the kitchen floor with torn garbage bags, their pumpkins, and their tools. Some took the word "tool" a little more seriously! ha Chad had to get out the power tools for the warty pumpkin. They must be a different variety... a hybrid of a rock and a pumpkin. They are so hard!

We had to light them up once it was dark and then the draw of the leaf pile was too strong!

Happy Fall in Idaho, Ane!
