Reunion in Seattle

We made it to a Cronin reunion! July 19-27. Finally! We've missed the last couple and I have missed that family! We gathered at Phillip's house this year and what a perfect spot! Chad had won the March Madness bracket and won us the guest room with bed so of course OUR stay was comfortable :) They had an amazingly huge kitchen perfect for large gatherings and their backyard provided hours of entertainment from barbecuing to pickleball to hot tub/swimming pool for the kiddos, complete with trampoline and swing set. We pretty much spent the whole time outside so it never felt like there were too many people under one roof. Somehow I didn't get many pictures. But I did get a few. We took a day to the lake and spent time on Phillip's boat. The kids loved tubing and Jaedyn was a daredevil continually asking the driver to "thumbs up" meaning "go faster".

Feeding the birds in Seattle. I hate big city driving! We could not leave Seattle. We drove around the same block about 10 times before we could finally make it out of there! I've never been so grateful for a change of scene!

Jaedyn lost her first tooth on our Seattle excursion! And her smile will be forever changed!

Grossest. Thing. Ever. Heard of the gum wall?

More cousin lovin. I am so grateful that my kids get these opportunities to spend time with their cousins and get to know them.

Redneck slide anyone?

What a blast this place is. Someone, a genius, got the bright idea to buy commercial grade plastic, put it on a hill (a short steep one), run a hose on it, and rent it out to the community. Successful? Absolutely!

We've gone a couple of years in the past but Chad has been unable to go. We were invited to join a friend's family as they spent the day there. And Chad, now that he works in the schools and actually has a life in the summer, was able to join us. Walking up to the slide, he was unimpressed to say the least. Going down however, was an entirely different story. Fun was had by all. So much so that we regretted our decision to not impose until the last hour of the day! Wish we had more time!

If you look closely, Lilia is smashed between Chad and myself. And Jaedyn is guzzling the filthy water.
*No Ecoli was contracted during the making of this memory

And this picture? This picture is a gem. Haha. I laugh right out loud every time I look at it. And yet my heart does a little flip flop seeing my girls thoroughly enjoying and caring for one another. I think I need to tape it to my ceiling just to start the day out right.
