A Few Thoughts

-After being on vacation for 2 1/2 weeks... I'm grateful for my home!

-Grateful for modern medicine and it's life-saving abilities!

-After a trip to crowded cities, heavy traffic, psycho drivers, interesting PDA, ant infestations, and living off fast food... I'm grateful for my quiet little town nestled in the beautiful mountains!

-So incredibly, impatiently, excitedly awaiting summer and warmer weather! Jaedyn has been asking every other day to go hiking and I am totally gonna take her... soon :)

-Chad just had an emergency appendectomy and has spent the week recovering. I'm grateful for his strength and missing what a help he used to be :) So grateful he's done with school and is home again!

-Lilia is a delight. The child never stops smiling. She really is the happiest, sweetest baby. And she's learned to snuggle! I'm grateful for toothless grins and baby babble... things that make the heart truly smile! Some of her favorite things: her binkie, signing "more", turning pages of a book, CRUISING, pulling the books off the bookshelf (much to her sister's chagrin), prunes and apple baby food, being tickled, and the bathtub- one of the few things that make her mad on a consistent basis is being pulled out of the tub!

-Jaedyn has been adjusting to having her Daddy back home and repeatedly will come and wrap her arms around us and say, "We're being a family". She is doing a lot of growing right now and has been a lot happier and settled. I'm loving this new stage! She has become very animated and will say everyday, normal things in a whole new way. It's a lot of fun having conversations with her these days. Some of her favorite things: The question "why?", being outside, her new mickey mouse hat, making noise (she truly is her Daddy's girl!), showing off work that she has done (like making beds, putting the garbage bag in the can), smelling her hands after they've been washed (and having everyone else do so), and bedtime stories. This little girl never tires of things and asks for the same things over and over again. And she loves to sing "Glooooooooooooooria" in a very high pitched toddler voice complete with all the fluctuations! She drives us crazy! And we love her for it!

-Very grateful for family. What an incredible support system!

-Quote of the day: Driving home after being gone for 2 1/2 weeks, we drove around the corner onto our street and Jaedyn starts clapping and cheering in the backseat, "Yaaaay, our house didn't fall down!"

We are so glad to hear Chad is doing good and that you made it through that whole ordeal. When we got word of his surgery, I just kept praying for you too! Glad things are going well and love your recaps of your little ones! They are beautiful, strong little girls and both have their own ways of showing some spunk :)
